Welcome, I’m Ruby (& Maize!), head trainer of Bully Boss Dog Training and fellow reactive dog owner, and if you’re here because you feel exhausted, embarrassed, overwhelmed or like you’ve run out of options with your dog — I understand that more than you think and I can help you rewrite this narrative.
Back when I adopted my own dog, I found myself in the exact same position. I had just rescued a dog, found out she was reactive and had no idea what I was doing. I felt isolated, I dreaded walks, and I constantly felt like nobody truly understood how hard it had become.
Since adopting my dog, I’ve immersed myself in canine behaviour and psychology, working hands-on with dogs of all temperaments and learning what truly creates lasting behavioural change in the real world.
What is my goal?
It’s simple. I want to help you permanently overcome your dog’s behavioural issues that are leaving you feeling defeated and unsure where to turn next. My method is honest, practical and provides proven real world results — not just temporary fixes.

We understand that life is expensive, and professional dog training isn’t a quick cheap fix. We offer a payment plan that suits you, just reach out to our team when booking in!

We are Newcastle based. In certain circumstances we will also travel to the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens areas.

At the Bully Boss we are dedicated to providing REAL results with our training methods and have perfected these into our programs that we offer. Unfortunately, with one-off sessions we wouldn't see the same results so we do not offer one-off sessions.
